Happenings at Casa Dante     Hudson Restaurant Week starts July 25th through August 5th. Come in and enjoy a lunch or dinner of Casa Dante favorites. see our menu see the menu here http://www.casadante.com/events/   Summer Prix Fixe menu now available in addition to our regular menus. Fresh Grilled or Roasted Fish, Grilled Vegetables, Whole Wheat Pastas with Vegetable toppings and Dessert Fruits. Provided at a set price for individuals or large parties.     Casa Dante wil be closed Sundays thru July excepting scheduled parties   Summer Wine Tasting . Light full bodied or dry white summer choices for the tasting. Light courses of passed Italian delicacies and desserts. August date will be announced   Coming in September "Dance Night". Haven't done one in a long while. Music, Dance instructors to give us some steps and lots of fun!     Light & Healthy Summer Recipe Barbecue Chicken Sandwiches in Crock Pot ( not Italian but great!) Ingredients:Servings: 4-6 servings 1 -2 lb boneless skinless chicken breast  1 (18 ounce) jar of your favorite barbecue sauce (I love K.C. Masterpiece!) 1 medium sweet onion , sliced 4 -6 hamburger buns  Directions:Prep Time: 10 minsTotal Time: 1/2 day 1 Remove all visible fat from the chicken and toss it in the crock pot. 2 Place the onion slices on top of the chicken. 3 Pour the barbecue sauce over top. 4 You may not need the entire jar, just enough to cover the chicken. 5 Cook it on LOW for 8 hours or until the chicken is nice and tender. 6 Shred the chicken with a fork and knife; scoop the mixture onto the bottom buns and top it with the top buns. 7 Or, if you're like my dad, you might prefer leaving the breasts whole and eating it that way. 8 Voila! 9 An easy weeknight meal that doesn't heat up your kitchen in the summertime!

A summer evening in Jersey City turned into food, music and a full dance floor. We are very happy to see that our patrons enjoy the entertainment. Thank you all for the great reception our groups get here. Hudson Restaurant Week starts July 25 and, of course, Casa Dante participates.
