Dear Friends,

Were getting ready for the Antinori Wine Dinner here at Casa Dante on Thursday February 24. If you love wine, and Casa Dante cuisine, you will absolutely love this combination. Great wines, food, live jazz and lots of fun.
I want to invite a patron ( could be you!) and a guest to join us. The 40th email requesting to be chosen will be the lucky guest of Casa Dante. Email us at info@casadante.com with the subject title " choose me!".  Again, the 40th request to do so gets a table for 2 at the dinner. On us!
Champain Fulton Jazz Trio entertains us on Friday, February 18. Saturday February 19, is Danny Heise's turn at the mike. With a mild weather forecast, this will be a great weekend for dinner and music.  Reserve a spot on Open Table  or call direct. Hope to see you here!

Broccoli Rabe with Garlic & Anchovies
 This a wonderful, tasty and quick meal. We love Broccoli Rabe here at Casa Dante. But, don't leave out the Anchovies. You will be surprised at the way it enhances the taste of the Broccoli Rabe.
8 servings, generous 1/2 cup each
Active Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
INGREDIENTS
         2 pounds broccoli rabe, stem ends trimmed, chopped
         3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
         6 cloves garlic, chopped
         6 anchovy fillets, chopped
         1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper, (optional)
         1/4 teaspoon salt
         Freshly ground pepper, to taste
                   
PREPARATION
1.             Bring a large pot or Dutch oven of water to a boil. Add broccoli rabe and cook until tender when pierced with a fork, 3 to 5 minutes. Drain well.
2.             Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, anchovies and crushed red pepper (if using); cook, stirring, until the garlic is very light brown, 1 to 2 minutes. Add the broccoli rabe, toss to coat, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes more. Season with salt and pepper.

Per serving: 82 calories; 6 g fat (1 g sat, 4 g mono); 3 mg cholesterol; 4 g carbohydrates; 0 g added sugars; 5 g protein; 3 g fiber; 220 mg sodium; 231 mg potassium.
