Happy Summer!
Hope your's is going well. We have some featured live entertainment this
weekend. Friday night Jazz in our lounge with Danny Bacher,
preceded by Happy Hour starting at 5:30. Then Saturday night in our
banquet room with Ted & Rocky. Real toe-tapping, great vocals and lots
of fun.
We are please
to announce that Casa Dante has again been awarded by Wine Spectator for
2012 for our diverse and exceptional wine list. Its a great source of pride
for us and it shows that we don't just specialize in Italian wines.

My
Two Cents
Recession
Dining
It's
always easier to do the wrong thing, it seems. In the midst of a devasting
recession which has hurt our industry and many others, it sure is tempting
when a new supplier wants to pass along a cheaper alternative of some kind.
It's a troubling but common practice in which we dont partake.
Not so
prime beef; frozen fish; on the turn vegetables and so on. Keeping a standard
when many are losing theirs is a tough road to follow. But we, and many
others like us, keep at it. We still produce the best we can offer with
little variation ( save climate and supply conditions ) and many of our
customers know and appreciate that fact.
So next
time you're dining somewhere and the shrimp tastes a bit "iodiny"
or the beef isn't so tender, remember what I wrote here.
Someone
once told me producing the highest quality product,
ultimately, is the cheapest in the long run. When you factor in the gain of
customers; respect of your peers; and the sheer pride derived from being the
best that you can be!

Dante's Wine list has received a Wine Spectator Award for 2012 and as a
thank you to our loyal patrons,
all wines on our list will be sold at half price on all Tuesdays in
August with your dinner. Thanks again!
- Make
sure you take advantage of our Recession
specials, next segment below...we know that driving here
plus tolls is quite an expense these days....see below so we can help
you have a great meal at Casa Dante!
- Much
more fresh fish and healthier choices on our menus. As you may know, our
fish is always fresh, never frozen. We have many vegetarian choices and,
of course, our meats are the best cuts available. " The veal is
like butter" she exclaimed!
- Our
first wine dinner of the season will be in October. For those of you

- We
are taking
Mondays off during July and August instead of our
usual Sunday closing. Most of our friends who go down the shore on
weekends come back early enough to want dinner on Sunday. We're here for
you!

For those of you who "friend" us
on Casa Dante Facebook, you
know that I take photos of food and goodies at my table and post them. We
use our "like"FACEBOOKto notify
events, parties, holidays and the like. But our "friend" page
is reserved for my own messages to you...usually involves food.....my
friends love these...some of you who have moved to far away places (
Florida, North Carolina, California etc ) really seem to appreciate them.
