Dear Friends:

Summer has appeared earlier than expected this year. We will be providing some fun summer drinks and lighter summery items on our specials menu. Plenty of roasted fish, grilled vegetables and seasonal fruits for desserts.

Starting in July ( or sooner if I hear from you ) Casa Dante will feature a prix fixe Summer Menu. Lighter fare as mentioned above and other delectable items.

Check out our entertainment options this weekend and don't forget the Father's Day specials we're offering ( see below ).

A midsummer wine tasting to be announced will include Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and some delightful Rieslings. Keep an eye out for date and more specifics.

Happenings at Casa Dante         Theme menu for the week is "Foods of The Veneto". Our " Additions" to our regular menu will include choices from Milan, Venice, and nearby locales ( Veal Milanese anyone?). Enjoy! If you have any suggested foods or recipes please let us know at info@casadante.com     Father's Day is Sunday June 19th and we will be honoring Dad with a special "Dad's" Menu and 1/2 priced wines from our wine list.   Casa Dante wil close Sundays from June 26th thru July and August.   I will soon announce a special Summer Wine Event. Light full bodied or dry white summer choices for the tasting. Keep this in mind as I may include light courses of passed Italian delicacies and desserts. To be announced!   Spring is celebration time. Remember that we have special menu's  for parties, graduations, communions, baptisms, weddings and rehearsal dinner. Check with our staff for dates and times you need. !           Healthy Italian   LINGUINE WITH ARUGULA, PROSCIUTTO, PINE NUTS AND PARMESAN CHEESE ( remove Prosciutto for total healthy option ) Ingredients: 1lb Linguine 1/2 cup Olive Oil 4oz Arugula (trimmed ) 1 cup freshly grated Parmigiano cheese 1/2 cup Pine Nuts, toasted additional freshly grated Pargiano cheese Cook linguine in large pot of boiling salted water until just tender but still firm to bite, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, heat oil in heavy large skillet over medium heat. Add arugula & prosciutto and stir until arugula is just wilted, about 30 seconds. Remove from heat. Drain pasta and return to pot. Add arugula and toss well. Add 1 cup Parmesan and salt and pepper to taste; toss well. Transfer to bowl. Sprinkle with pine nuts. Serve immediately, passing additional Parmesan separately. Serves 6.
